Rules
- This is an individual competition.
- The competition follows a single-elimination tournament format. In each round, two players compete head-to-head to solve the same challenge. The first player to solve it wins the round and advances.
- If a participant is not present at the designated time and location for their scheduled round, they will be considered to have forfeited, and their opponent will automatically advance.
- We may have parallel rounds running at the same time. If we do, they could be with the same or different challenges.
- Challenges will fall into the Pwnable, Web, or Reverse Engineering categories.
- Each regular tournament round has a time limit of 45 minutes. If neither player solves the challenge within the time limit, we will replace the challenge with a trivial one as a tie-breaker.
- The Final Round will last 60 minutes.
- You may not receive live help from anyone not involved in organizing the event during your active round. However, you are permitted to use any online resources available to you, including but not limited to:
- Your favorite search engine
- Your favorite LLM
- Do not attack event infrastructure or other participants.
- All participants must use their own laptops. Your laptop must be capable of outputting its display via HDMI. We will provide USB-C to HDMI adapters if needed. Failure to provide an HDMI display output will result in disqualification. Please test your equipment beforehand.
- During each tournament round, the screens of both competing players will be captured via HDMI and may be displayed to the live audience.
- Qualification Round
- A fully online qualification round will be held if more than 16 participants show up onsite.
- The qualification round will last for one hour.
- Participants will be presented with at most two challenges to solve online.
- The top 16 participants, sorted first by the number of challenges solved and then by the time taken, will qualify for the main onsite tournament bracket.
- All organizer decisions are final.
