Smart Weighing Machine Hacking

For researchers, by researchers

Smart device authentication is super convenient for us, but unfortunately, it's just as easy for attackers to bypass.

What is it about?

Get hands-on experience exploiting a smart weighing machine with our dear friend Eugene Lim and learn basic hardware hacking techniques like:

  • Firmware Extraction
  • Bluetooth Low Energy / WiFi Sniffing and Interception
  • Serial Port Debugging

Machines Involved

We'll be working with these 3 smart weighing machine models:

  • Withings Body (WBS06)
  • Anker Eufy Smart Scale P2 Pro
  • Huawei Scale 3
Want to learn these techniques? Visit us during our conference on 8-9th May 2025 and put your skills to the test!
